Virtual Butterfly reflects Liang and Fang’s exploration and understanding of NFTs. While the artists discussed the  idea of the work together, Liang was mainly responsible for the production. For the artists, the butterfly is a symbol  of ephemerality, rebirth and beauty. The work belongs to a series that the artists started during the pandemic. Inspired by the Butterfly Effect, where changing small things can have a huge impact while preserving the unity of order  and disorder, Liang and Fang examine the current social environment and use it as a starting point for their creative  practice.
