María Fernanda Chacón’s work is interested in establishing an investigation around the historical and political processes, through which she relates the historiography of Cuba and universal, with the present as a reality that interprets it. She studies the relationship with the subjective spaces resulting from the application of power in different  socio political contexts, in an attempt to question, from art, the operations linked to symbolic production and manipulation that are used to validate their permanence in time. Her artistic practice is not limited to the exclusive use of  a medium, it uses media such as video, photography and installation in its creative process.
