Inner Light is a VR experience which uses electroencephalography (EEG) to visualize one’s brain waves as a virtual  avatar, and facilitate an embodied meditation on Light. The climax of the meditation culminates with a virtual out of-body experience to convey a sense of freedom from the mind-body complex. By inviting participants to embody  their own mental frequencies, Sounak Ghosh attempts to make the formless mind more tangible by meeting it in its  territory – the domain of the virtual. Ghosh’s research looks at the significance of Light as an object of meditation,  explores different cultural-religious concepts of Light as the emanation of the sublime, while also correlating it with  contemporary theories within neuroscience, psychology and philosophy.
